KAMP KUMA - LAZY BEAR

***CALLING ALL KUMA KIDS***

For those of you who do not know KAMP KUMA is actually the birthplace of KUMA back in July 2k5. Over the years we have called both Fife's and the Willows home but this year brings yet another change. Long story short the Willows, our INCREDIBLE hosts for the past two years has foreclosed and there is no news of a new owner. So that leaves us with one option for camping and that is the OUTBACK, host to the infamous Lazy Bear Bonfires. Here is their site:

So with a new home comes a few sacrifices from years past. Now I mean no offense by this but anyone that has come before and thought we were "roughing it" will probably wanna find a hotel room quick. This year we will not have power in our campsite. So now phone chargers or laptops or sound systems or projectors, this year will be aptly called "BACK 2 BASICS" I know this is a major bummer as its always been a tradition but I wanted that to be very clear before we move forward.

Camp Outback though comes with some pretty nice perks though I must say. I am negotiating for our site to have a fire pit so for those sites that have a fire pit, they provide our wood and start the fire for you. Also our camp hosts provide a continental breakfast Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then Sunday and Monday they do a hot breakfast. Of course the site has hot showers and they look out into the forest and open skies. But I think the best thing is that we will be very close to the bonfire which is always the hot spot every night!!

We will have a much smaller space then we have ever had before so the more people whom buddy up and share a tent the better. Please keep your tents within reason if you have a mansion tent then 4 people need to be in it. If you want a tent to yourself find the smallest dome tent you can find and have at it. I know every year this is one of the biggest issues amongst us all. But it is something that can be discussed closer to. But I want yall to know in advance!! Also for those flying in from a far distance you can always fly into SF or OAK rent a car and pick up a tent and supplies at a WALmart on the way up.

The greatest part of LAZY BEAR is how damn cheap this week long vacation is. Also thanks to our new hosts financially this year it will be a lot easier to arrange things and you do not have to come for the whole week so weekender's will be allowed finally for Kamp Kuma!!

So thats the skinny on whats going on this year here are the details to hold your spot in KAMP KUMA 2k8. To garuntee your spot you must paypal or mail me a check for $50. This covers your $30 first night deposit which I have already put down for 15 spaces (if we fill those spots and they still have spots we will add on) as well as your limited edition Kamp Kuma t-shirt!! The balance of your campsite will be payed to the site the day you arrive and will be an additional $30 per day. So if your staying for the whole run (wed-mon) it would be another 4 nights so $120 + tax when you arrive.
